We deliver an arena for an outdoor game

On the day after Christmas, Färjestad and Frölunda with meet for an outdoor game of ice hockey.
About 20 000 spectators are expected, they will be able to watch the game form a grandstand built with material from our product group MonZon Event.
Last year, during an outdoor game at Ullevi, a grand stand rented from another supplier broke and the organizer Sport & Evenemang contacted MonZon. We were asked to develop an arena solution that was designed according to their needs. For obvious reasons the safety issues were extremely important. That is why, without any requirements for third party tests, we had the grandstand system tested at the Swedish national institute for technical evaluation, testing, certification, metrology and research, SP.
- We decided to assume this cost in order for the public to feel safe. So they don’t have to worry that an incident similar to the what happened at Ullevi, may occur again, CEO Jan Månsson explains.
Following months of preparations, about 30 trucks with material have arrived in Karlstad and the grandstand is in construction as we speak. The arena will fit about 20 000 spectators and the organizers believe that the event will be sold out.
After the game, the arena will be disassembled and transported to the city of Leksand, where it will be used for the outdoor game between the ice hockey teams Leksand and Mora. Next on the schedule is the bandy play off at Studenternas in Uppsala, followed by STCC in Gothenburg.
